But since i'd prefer the versatility of the convertible, I'm looking for some middle ground. I've done some research but I can't seem to find anybody who makes hardtops for mustang convertibles.

2022年5月30日 · I am here because the Mustang is one of the best convertibles, with a manual transmission, and a back seat. And a Mustang will likely be my next car. A few caveats: They are not as quiet as a hardtop, you will likely only want to let the top down when the sun is not directly overhead. At night is good also.

2023年5月21日 · Mustang isn’t even close. In 1983-1993 Ford outsourced the convertible to Cars & Concepts, which received coupes from the factory and returned them as convertibles. So technically those cars are coach works hand built cars. I can tell on some of the interior pieces they are hand built. Low production at the beginning.

It was a hardtop convertible with the roof panel that fit in the trunk. when I bought my Mustang, I bought the hardtop coupe instead of the convertible. With a convertible in a serious accident, where there’s a rollover, you have nothing protecting your head.

Basically the rigidity and weight differences between a hardtop and vert are minimal. 83 - 93 though are opposite. Coupe cars sent out of the factory to have the roof cut off. Not sure if the if the 94 - 04 cars started life as a vert or were modified like the Fox Bodies.

The same issue happened on the Mustang rental I had a few years ago, and I was talking to a friend of mine who works at a car dealership, his Mustang, and two they were selling all had the same problem, and all of them used the silicon lubricant too.
