The »Am Theater« garage (SEE MAP ABOVE: Einfahrt=Entrance, Ausfahrt=Exit) takes you to within a few paces of the opera house. Entrance to garage possible on workdays from 7am to midnight, Sundays and bank holidays from 10am until midnight.
History - Oper Frankfurt
1880 The new Opera House (built by Richard Lucae, now the "Alte Oper" on Opernplatz) opened with Mozart’s Don Giovanni in the presence of Kaiser Wilhelm I. The first performance of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg in Frankfurt took place four years later.
