2024年3月28日 · Yes, you can use your own router. When I had my install done I asked them not to even give me their router (which they were fine with) and hooked it up with my own gear right away. No issues doing that or with how it works after setup. Depends on what you’re wanting out of your internet.

So, we have the ONT box in the garage and the wire that’s carrying the signal from the ONT box to the frontier provided modem (router) is an Ethernet cable.
