2010年4月12日 · They are a small tart green apple that ripens early August. They never spray or do anything but most basic pruning and cleaning up fallen fruit. The apples are small (2 inches), and will have blemishes (bite marks, worm holes, scabby marks, etc.) on about 50% of the fruits, but since we use them for cooking, it doesn't matter.
Can you make apple cider vinegar from green (unripe) apples?
2015年8月22日 · I can make vinegar in a glass barrel, assuming the apples will work, as green as they are. We had a very warm, early, spring and the tree went crazy setting apples, and then it's been a wet, mild, summer. The branches have been breaking since June despite a lot of thinning already. I've never seen an apple tree loaded with so many apples.

2008年9月2日 · You could cook them up for the pectin in them and use it for making jelly and jam. I just made applesauce from apples that were a bit on the green side. With sugar and cinnamon in it, the applesauce was really good. Some of the jars have a layer of clear gel on the bottom and the applesauce is very, very thick...I'm sure it is pectin.

2004年8月15日 · I have a tree that I can't figure out. It blooms early in the Spring - white blooms like those ornamental pear trees - has shiny green leaves that make me think it's a pear. The fruit right now looks like clusters of tiny green apples and when I cut one in half with a fingernail it smelled like a green apple. But the skin looks like an unripe pear.
