Why is Haikyuu S4 Animation "different"? - Reddit
2021年8月20日 · I haven't watched anime for almost 2 year. And several days ago, I decided to watch haikyuu. The last time I watch haikyuu was s2. And it was years ago. Season 1 - 3 is absolutely stunning. And now I'm stuck at episode 1 of season 4 pt 1. I just can't watch it. The Art style was drastically different. It's not a bad thing, it has it merits.
Anyone Else Disappointed by S4 Animation Quality? : r/haikyuu
I don't mind the style change but animation-wise, but overall, I find it very unappealing most of the time. It looks so rough and the movement is so unnatural and stiff. In comparison to S1-S3, the animation was smooth, the transitions were beautiful but more importantly, I was never distracted by the disappointing quality of the animation.
Your take on the new animation style for Season 4? : r/haikyuu
I know this new animation is much truer to the manga's art style, but my beef with it is that it doesn't convey as much as emotion as the styles of season 1-3. Here's an example right here: The top frame is the style from season 1-3, the bottom is season 4.
Change in animation and art style in S4? : r/haikyuu - Reddit
2021年8月5日 · A few seniors (director and animation directors, I think about 4 in total) changed but most of the people working on Haikyuu are still the same (plus a few juniors were added) but a change at the top can lead to a different approach in direction and cinematography that has a domino effect on everything else even if the team is mostly the same.
Is Season 4 animation really that bad? : r/haikyuu - Reddit
Haikyuu's production is an anomaly among sports anime by its healthy production for the first 3 seasons and especially a talented staff for the whole show, this is mostly thanks to Keiko Matsushita the Animation Producer, believe me without her the adaptation would have looked like any other random anime sport or a way weaker production even if ...
Season 4's Animation Change : r/haikyuu - Reddit
2023年9月20日 · I liked the previous animation too. There is no reason for it to be close to the manga. Anime is 2D, so it's okay to have more detailed character design or intensely animated scenes. I feel like S4 had very limited scenes like that. Sorry to the manga fans, but close-to-manga art doesn't apply to Haikyuu. For me, it was just lousy animation.

2023年6月15日 · 66 votes, 10 comments. true. yes the new season doesn’t look as good but it wasn’t because they just decided to draw it bad. those was animated. if it kinda was because they were trying to make it look like the manga that has a slight change in style as well but the main reason was because haikyuu got a new director during the production of season 4 and they had different priorities than ...
Animation Style Change? : r/haikyuu - Reddit
The new chief animation director is Yu Kobayashi, who did key animation in previous Haikyuu seasons. It seems like this is his first time as a chief animation director, as he's mostly credited for key/in-between animation from other series as well. Overall, season 4 seems to be in familiar hands that seem capable enough.
Season 4 animation/art style : r/haikyuu - Reddit
However, it’s the subpar animation and all the off model stuff that got me. Particularly on rewatches; I viscerally wince multiple times in the worst episodes. With animation, I find it’s easy enough to let great animation pass you by if you’re immersed. If the animation is good enough to not be noticeable, that’s all I need.

2023年1月31日 · The animation quality is still pretty good! I think what you are talking about is the artstyle. The artstyle changed due to the tight schedule, this new artstyle gave animators more freedom to apply their respective styles to it while also …
