Not hating on them, I like quite a few of them, but I think a couple did well and a lot of authors glommed onto the fact that they're easier to write than other sports romance bc it's a less popular sport (in most places) so the readers by and large aren't hockey fans themselves and won't tweak to errors in the actual hockey sequences.

Thanks for recommending this one, especially since I have never heard of the author or these books before. I love good cinnamon roll hockey romances.

2023年5月8日 · I love hockey romances and I noticed the same titles and authors come up repeatedly (for good reason). I want to highlight the following series and individual novels that don’t get mentioned as much (or at all) and that I have read and enjoyed. (And of course check out the Hockey Romance Megathread.)

I really love hockey romance because it gives me the sporty feel without me noticing if and when it descends into nonsense. I am super picky about baseball romance for that exact reason - I end up fixating on everything they get wrong because I'm too familiar with the sport. My hockey ignorance is what makes it work! 🤣
