What cards are everyone gonna slot in to replace Hullbreacher?
2021年7月12日 · The amount of degenerate or straight up instantly game-winning things you can do with Hullbreacher is obscene. Notion Thief and Narset evidently have enough restriction built in - extra color, extra cost, sorcery speed, vulnerable body, not as much upside, whatever it is - that people can't or quite simply don't use them in the same toxic ways.

2021年7月12日 · See, the thing about Hullbreacher is that it's a newer card from a commander set that VERY quickly became oppressive. Most STAX cards are from a time before Commander was a big format, but Hullbreacher being from a recent Commander-specific set gives the impression that it's more legitimate, and not necessarily against the attitude of the RC.

Because we're talking about massive investments. When Hullbreacher was banned, it burnt a huge hole in owners' pockets. And thus they are extremely reluctant to ban things. The advent of Rule Zero also mitigated alot of trigger-happy emotions when it comes to bans. At the same time WotC also learnt their lessons with regards to card design.

2021年4月21日 · Ideally, Wizards would just not have printed Hullbreacher in any color. There are a myriad of ways to print a card like Hullbreacher in white without having atrocious play-patterns. Just make the effect symmetrical - I don't understand why WotC didn't learn from Leovold (the most obvious Abzan card ever) and Narset. It's an embarassment.

2021年7月12日 · In Tymna Kraum Wheels I slot back in Alms Collector (Hullbreacher should have been 2UW and would be on par with Notion Thief). In Najeela, - considering Grazilaxx?? or Chatterfang? But probably some other utility - If I could figure out an easy reliable way to cheat Old Gnawbone into play then it would be treasures galore.

Hullbreacher costs only 3 mana while Notiom Thief costs 4. While this isn't the most glaring difference, it still makes Hullbreacher a decently easier card to hold up in the early to midgame. Being UB also hurts Notion Thief a lot. Out of all 27 combinations, Hullbreacher can be slotted into 16 of them while Notion Thief can only be put into 8.
Why is the Hullbreacher/Narset+Day's Undoing combo good atm?
2022年3月1日 · My experience playing the deck in my local meta was not great, the number of three drops was indeed a substantial issue as was the lack of sweepers. I think this deck’s power level is in direct correlation to how good Hullbreacher, Teferi, and Narset are in your meta, which is largely correlates with how much blue is being played.
