However, the disparity I'm seeing is, at idle, if I put a vacuum gauge directly to the intake manifold, it reads 14.5 inHg. The readout on my Holley Sniper says I'm idling at 40 kPa. 14.5 inHg would be around 52 kPa. 40 kPa would be around 18 inHg.

2022年9月22日 · Something new started happening when I drive the truck. The throttle hangs and won't return to idle when I left off the gas. It only happens above 1800ish RPM. Anything below that and it's fine and above it hangs open. I did use these instructions to reset the idle on the truck and the IAC Position is open about 6% at warm idle

2021年6月26日 · My Plymouth was idling high and would not come down until I hit the throttle. The secondary spring was not strong enough and secondaries were sticking. Tried to add another coil on the spring with great difficulty. Ended up pulling on the end of spring and bending it on the support bracket enough to solve the problem.

2018年7月10日 · After running down the road a couple of miles I stopped and let it idle. It was idling at about 1050. I readjusted it back to around 800 and then took it for another trip and ran a couple of datalogs. I will post them in a little while. After I shut the engine off I tried to start it again and it fired right up.

I have a brand new Holley 4150 carb and I can not get the idle down. I have the idle mixture screws only 1/2 turn out, and I backed the high idle screw on the electric choke almost all the way out. The curb idle screw is not even touching the throttle linkage and my car is idling between 1500 & 2000 RPM in park, and 1000 RPM in gear.

2020年11月6日 · Gave the screw a full turn in, and the IAC was at 0% and it was idling at 1200+ RPM. Backed it off a bit and set it to idle in neutral at about 6% or so IAC Position. Also made the small changes ABC suggested to the GCF. Starts & idles great now.
