Princess Badroulbadour (say that 3x fast), as she was originally named (meaning "full moon of full moons"), and Aladdin himself, are from "one of the cities of Ancient China" in the text. So I like to think Jasmine is an amalgamation of different cultural identities, in much the same way the actual fairy tale of Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp are.

It gave Jasmine her own episodes from time to time. There was one where the villain Mirage a cat woman cursed Jasmine to turn into a snake naga throughout the episode and they had to find the cure. It was a good episode.

2022年9月10日 · No you're right, out of the official princess line marketed by Disney, Jasmine is the only one who isn't the main character of her movie. The other love interests who aren't the main characters like Esmeralda, Megara and Jane are not included in the princess line. I suppose they included Jasmine because she really is a princess.
