It gave Jasmine her own episodes from time to time. There was one where the villain Mirage a cat woman cursed Jasmine to turn into a snake naga throughout the episode and they had to find the cure. It was a good episode.
What would your Disney Princess rankings be like?
The official known criteria is: 1.) Be a main or leading role (Jasmine) 2.) be human 3.) be born a princess (Raya) or marry a prince (Tiana) 3.b) or a grand heroic gesture (saving china-Mulan) 4.) movie cannot be a catastrophic failure that Disney wants to sweep under the rug to never talk about again (Black cauldron (Eliwony) and Wish (Asha).

Princess Badroulbadour (say that 3x fast), as she was originally named (meaning "full moon of full moons"), and Aladdin himself, are from "one of the cities of Ancient China" in the text. So I like to think Jasmine is an amalgamation of different cultural identities, in much the same way the actual fairy tale of Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp are.

Sep 10, 2022 · No you're right, out of the official princess line marketed by Disney, Jasmine is the only one who isn't the main character of her movie. The other love interests who aren't the main characters like Esmeralda, Megara and Jane are not included in the princess line. I suppose they included Jasmine because she really is a princess.
