2025年1月10日 · Turn the steering wheel all the way to one way or the other. Start out in first gear and drive slowly. If the steering feels "choppy" then your 4WD is working. There is a small disk shapped metal object with two vacuum lines and a few wires connect to it. This is the 4WD actuator. 5) Disconnect the vacuum line closest to the passenger side wheel.

Normal driving with no part time or 4 wheel engaged. turning is fine with no pulsation. on wet surface. 4 wheel drive also pulsates and feels like front end is gonna rip off. I think this is normal, its happend once when i tested it before buying.

2022年5月7日 · Got a new gladiator and I had a very difficult time putting it into 4hi, it was difficult getting it INTO 4lo too. I tried shifting OUT of 4lo while in Drive by accident and was pretty forceful about it, it didn’t engage obviously until I put it back to neutral.

2019年11月13日 · In theory yes you could-- it is when you turn the wheel that the inside and outside tires must travel different distances in comparison to each other and the rear wheels. The outside wheel has further distance to travel which will cause binding up of the 4 wd system. Also why if you have a rear locker sometimes on a tight turn you can scrub a tire.

2012年1月17日 · With the jeep in neutral and wheels blocked , just pop the kinkage off at the t-case (pry bar) . Cycle the lever on the t-case through the ranges , 2wd being all the way forward IIRC . You could tie off the linkage and check the 2wd via a test drive .

2010年1月12日 · The fact that it had four wheel drive was an added benefit. Last night driving in a snowstorm I spun out and ended up in a ditch. Put it in 4-wheel for the first time and work my way out no problem. I left it in 4-wheel and drove the rest of the 47 miles to my destination.
