2014年3月7日 · The only time I had berries to remove on a juniper was an ominous beacon that I'd soon have more space on my bench. On a positive note, juniper berry tea has multiple health benefits. Never tried it as I'm partial to Constant Comment or Masala Chai. I can't think of any reason to keep them.

2023年6月12日 · The color of a juniper berry can tell a lot. Pollen cones in cypress are way larger than most junipers. Pictures of the whole plant and close ups of the foliage are needed too. A scopulorum juniper variety blue arrow will look the same as a glaucous italian cypress. And sometimes even then, we can't tell.

2025年1月15日 · Juniper berries are frequently used as a sort of spice. I routinely use them in marinades, and I often add a couple to my pumpkin pies. So I would say a juniper is arguably viable in a fruiting tree contest, but may violate the spirit of the rules if not the letter. Also, it's not unheard of to display pines or similar with cones when they happen.

2024年10月17日 · Junipers are notoriously difficult to tell one from another. Some species have very similar foliage. Then there's the many different cultivars and hybrids of some of the popular species like Juniper chinensis to complicate the picture even further. More pics as recommended above and info on where it was obtained can help with the guesses.
