2022年1月11日 · For my Medusa, it doesn't even touch my teeth and it barely touches my gum because my lip is thick. I think every body is different, I would recommend trying it out as long as you know to take it out if you run into any issues! I won't lie to you though, the Medusa was my most painful piercing to date.

2024年4月23日 · Stop using homemade saltwater or antibiotic ointment. Use prepackaged sterile saline solution. No ointment, creams, oils, alcohol, etc should ever go on a piercing. Don’t touch it, twist it, or play with it. You can swish with alcohol-free mouthwash to keep the inside clean. Go to safepiercing.org and find an APP registered piercer in your area.

2023年6月7日 · I’ve had my medusa piercing for around 7 months. The first few months were fine healing-wise, but the last few months I’ve had issues with irritation bumps on the outside. My piercer downsized the bar to mitigate this and it worked. However, the top ended up sinking in and embedding into my lip.

2024年1月22日 · Hi all. So I got my Medusa piercing on 1.13.24 and the healing has been going well :) The swelling wasn’t horrible, but definitely noticeable on my end for the first two days, and some mornings. It nested quite fast and hasn’t caused any issues in terms of pain, infection, etc.

2023年1月3日 · Former flute/piccolo player! Maybe look at a Medusa piercing? I don’t think it would affect the shape of your aperture, obviously be sore/swollen for a week+ but it’s one of the few lip/oral piercings that would work with playing the flute.
