2015年9月21日 · The thunderbolt port actually uses some of the PCIe lanes and that is what limits it. The PCIe controller is built into the CPU typically. Most modern consumer level CPUs have 16x PCIe 3.0 lanes natively which is shared by the PCIe slots, mPCIe slots and Thunderbolt ports if the motherboard or laptop has them. There is no separate mPCIe bus.

(500MB/s) While x1 PCIe slot is Gen 3.0 on modern motherboards (1000MB/s) so the normal slot if Gen 3.0 will be faster double the bandwidth. but it is not a big deal for mini PCI-e is mostly used for wifi cards ... and 500MB/s is enough for most WIFI cards

2015年3月19日 · Your motherboard has a mini-pcie slot, not an msata slot. mSata and miniPCI-E are the same deminsions and pinout, but that is where the similarity stops. Your miniPCI-E slot is for a wifi card or wwan card (3g/4g cellular), etc. If you do not have a graphics card in the black pci-e slot you can get a sata add-on card.
