2009年1月22日 · I suffer from sinus problems and my ENT recommends Afrin only on a very limited basis, like when I fly. Otherwise he prescribes daily nose sprays like Flonase which I only use seasonally. My regular routine is nasal washing which I wish I could do for my cats when they are suffering. But at least I can give them the warm steam treatment at home.

2015年2月25日 · My vet gave the following instructions on how to make a medicated nasal spay: 10 parts saline to 1 part *Regular* Afrin. Apply 1 drop in each nostril daily. **Do not use the medicated for more than 3 consecutive days** Definitely consult with your vet to make sure this is ok for Oliver to use.

2018年3月10日 · I am allergic to cats and dogs and have lived with both animals. I've noticed some cats don't bother me as much but have shown more symptoms to others. Usually I've had the more common symptoms, e.g. itchy/watery eyes, nasal congestion, etc. but I experienced a skin rash on my torso with one cat.

2023年11月14日 · Hi and welcome to TCS!! I believe that product contains tea tree oil which should not be used on cats - or dogs for that matter. However, I think that cats are more sensitive to lower levels of that oil than dogs, which might be the reason it is labeled for use with dogs and not cats. So, I'd say no.

I picked up preparation H cream (not ointment) and I couldn't find a regular bottle saline (like wound wash but ONLY saline) but did find out that Vix Sinex Saline ultra fine mist nasal spray was free of any additional ingredients, was straight saline and a pretty ideal percent.
