Today airport NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport (Tolmachevo) turns 60 years. The airport’s history started from a military airfield. Nowadays it is one of the largest international hubs in Russia.

Beginning March 25, Tolmachevo Airport will operate its summer schedule with the opening of new flights, resumption of seasonal routes, and an increase in flight frequency on a number of routes. In the summer season, the Novosibirsk airport will serve 90 destinations.

On September 6, Tolmachevo hosted a meeting on the initial stage of construction of a new Logistic postal center (LPC), which should be one of the major investment projects on the territory of the Novosibirsk airport.

In June 2008 total passenger traffic of Tolmachevo International Airport (Novosibirsk) amounted 203,982 PAX (15.7 % increase to the same period of last year). In June, departures were at the level of 93,888 passengers (+12.9 %), arrivals 92,147 (+14.7 %).

March 29, 2017, a unique flash mob with the participation of a distinguished Russian musician, world-known violist Vadim Repin was held at NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport in cooperation with Express-Prigorod, Omsk-Prigorod and the Federal Passenger Company plans to launch a rail services connecting Novosibirsk and Omsk with the airport. Starting from March 14, 2015, KrasAvia airlines, a partner of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport, commences direct scheduled flight operations on Novosibirsk – Strezhevoy – Novosibirsk route.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport handled 1,655,538 passengers based on the results of six months of 2016. Passenger traffic has increased by 5 % in relation to the same indicator of the last year.
