2020年5月13日 · I have a similar issue, except my 2018 Ram 2500 is also throwing a P0440 code along with the P0456. Originally, I just got the loose gas cap light. Tried greasing the o-ring on the original gas cap. Light remained off a few days. However, I later got a CEL with the P0440 & P0456. I greased the gasket on the cap. Light stayed off a few days.

2022年3月2日 · I had issues with filling the tank and ended up getting a good sale price on the fill assembly. That cleared my problem with the 90* turning of the nossle. I still had the issue of a periodic P0456 and doing a web search I found this video and I got under the hood and sure enough the plastic pipe that he idicates was cracked.

2019年4月25日 · The P0456 code (very small EVAP leak) was caused by the EVAP purge valve on my 2015 JGC Overland, $20 part (P/N CP796). After replacing the leak sensor and o-ring like the web suggested it did not fix the issue. Smoke test also did not show any issue.

Started my 2014 1500 and got a check engine light. Have jiffy line out an obd reader and found that it has p0456. Truck has 72k. Replaced the gas cap to see if this happens again. Anyone had this issue and what were your fix?
