2022年7月7日 · Surprised nobody has mentioned it but soothe 2 is a great spectral suppressor. I mainly use it to carve room in for a vocal or any sound to cut through a mix. The catching resonant peaks is nice but there’s a ton of other uses for soothe. It’ll really help your mix breathe if you use it correctly in sidechain mode.

However, I downloaded the trial version and I am feeling kinda "meh" about it. But I am no expert, so maybe I am missing something.

2021年8月12日 · Has Soothe 2 saved you lots of time placing notch EQ’s whilst mastering? I trialed the plug-in a while back for mixing and determined it didn’t provide much more benefit for individual instruments than iZotope Sculptor did for me, and I already own Sculptor.

Soothe 2 has no real alternative, other than DSEQ3. That said, ProQ3 will be something you constantly use, all the time. Soothe is going to be something you pull out every once in a while for a special case. But it really kicks ass at those things.
