2023年4月4日 · You can purchase the Starlink ethernet adapter and connect a 3rd party router but the Starlink router would still be required as a power source. It is possible to completely eliminate the router but to do so, you must replace both the router functions and the power supply/PoE functions of the original router.

Plugged from the Starlink router into the Archer C9 got rid of all of those issues - but brought up some NAT difficulty with online games & voip. Result? The Starlink router sits beautifully in a drawer for it's eventual turn to shine and for the foreseeable future the line goes straight form the PoE brick into my Archer C9.

2021年1月9日 · Dishy to the Starlink POE brick, then from there directly to my edgerouter x (no Starlink router). Then I have a Ubiquiti AP AC Pro wifi access point plugged into my edgerouter. I also have my old LTE modem (ZTE branded) plugged into my edgerouter and set up that up using the failover wizard on the edgerouter.

2023年1月17日 · If i'm using my Starlink without the wifi router (i'm using my own Cisco router), is there any way for me to access the GUI? I have a Maritime Starlink dishy, I have the PSU directly connected to my Cisco router with the Ethernet cable. I receive a public IP on the Cisco via DHCP which I can then NAT to for internet access. All good.

Put the Starlink router in bridge mode. 3.) Install a wireless access point inside of the home, unless you plan on using a router+wi-fi combo. 4.)

2021年8月2日 · At times you'll be wanting to power cycle the router or the power brick to clear a Starlink burp. Seems to be happen less frequently as time passes, but if climbing to your attic is a pain, provide for remote off/on. I think you'll likely find the router signal adequate, especially if the 2.4G side is fast enough for you.

2023年5月26日 · They told me to access the router admin page using direct IP access. That page also would not let me access the name and password settings. My Starlink works but cannot be secured…I will not use an unsecured router. Beyond that, if the router, as several have noted, will periodically glitch like this, the router may go unsecured for many users.

2023年1月8日 · I'm not a network engineer, just a programmer/game dev. But I believe bypass mode, which is set through the application, turns off the Starlink Router's DHCP and puts it in bridge mode, bridging the NAT to the router you set up. This allows your personal router to manage your network instead of the starlink router.

2022年11月22日 · I think the starlink router only supports WPA2 auth. It would be odd if your door opener device only supported WPA3 with no backwards compatibility to WPA2. Perhaps it’s something else like only supports a 2.4 GHz network vs 5 or vice versa. You can split out the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks in the settings if that’s the case.
