The Great Discovery is a 2008 direct-to-DVD feature-length special for Thomas & Friends. It was filmed and produced in 2007, and was released in 2008 for US cinemas in July, and later for DVD for the US in September, and was then released for UK cinemas in late September, and later for DVD in October.
