Truck has weight reduction mod, Anarchy tuned (RIP) and MM3 tuner.

2024年4月27日 · Husband bought a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 6.7 high output Cummins. The VGT turbo seized due to the soot build up. Bases on advice from this forum and other research, he decided to replace the turbo and manifold with a 3rd generation. Apparently there are alot of extra hoses and such that are unnecessary for the 3rd Gen (non VGT) turbo.

2024年10月15日 · If I wasn’t going to swap to a fixed turbo, maybe tuning of emission testing is a problem, I would NOT shell out for a fancy $3200 VGT, if just grab a good reman VGT with a city diesel actuator for $2k and call it good. Your gonna be swapping that even 150-200k it seems might as well be cheap(ish) and simple.

2024年7月29日 · As for a VGT turbo on your 5.9L, the kits are pricey and complicated. The VGT controller is the challenge. It will add an exhaust brake function to your truck though. I recommend a ton of research before you open your wallet.

2015年1月16日 · Hopefully this next weekend we'll get the turbo swapped out, straight downpipe and DPF/NOX delete pipe back in, S&B intake back on, turbo calibrated, and ECM flashed with the Smarty Jr. All in all not a rough process, although there were some difficult bolts to remove as they were fairly rusted in place after 4-5 years without being touched.

2024年2月27日 · It spools up just fine, maybe a hair slower than the VGT, but the top end power is insane when towing. A good VGT will set you back 3k, a s300 swap 1500-2k, but another 1k if you want the exhaust brake back. So… Also, you VGT core is worth $400-500 bucks from many places that buy them.
