2020年6月2日 · I know that VESA DisplayHDR 400 is the bare minimum for HDR, so it's not really capable of showing HDR's potential. Monitors that are certified for this usually have the 400 nits or slightly higher. That being said, the new Viewsonic XG270QC (not QG that has been out for a while) has 550 cd/m², but is still VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified.

So a monitor that advertises HDR400 but only shows 300 nits on the box, may still hit 400 nits for HDR content. A lot of HDR400 monitors fall into that category where only the SDR nit spec is listed: even Samsung's HDR600 monitor only lists like 350-400 nits but is clearly demonstrated to hit over 600 for HDR.

QD-OLEDs are especially limited in this regard. they have only 400-500 nits in a 10% window, maybe less if there is other stuff on screen. 2020年7月20日 · The same with sdr200 and Hdr400. If you see a smaller ratio of 2, go away it is a scam. If you find a ratio larger than 2, it is even better. Fald and oled are overrated. Hdr is all about brightness and colors pop up. Until we get true oled and Fald monitors with the newest vesa certifications called vesa true black 400 and 500, those are perfect.
