In the typical house this usually means water lines supplying dishwashers, clothes washers and ice makers. That being said, don't bother. They are basically useless. Even the expensive ones don't really work that well.

We had a Bosch unit rated around 48 db and you could not hear the water shut on and off.

2008年3月2日 · I don't think that anybody so far has discoverd the REAL reason water hammer arrestors don't work. it is because air disolves in water under pressure, thereby filling the arrester tube with water in a very short time. The best solution to your problem is to get a pressure reducing valve and set it for about 20 lbs less than your existing pressure.
