Apr 7, 2015 · I got the 128GB 12.9 Pro, but am curious is 256 really going to make a difference for iOS devices aside from just have "more" storage. Like I work with large Procreate files and have 5000 photos on my cloud and on board my iPhone+iPad but still have 90+GB of free space on the iPad, and my phone still has 20 GB out of 55GB.

Nov 16, 2024 · I have heard estimates of around 4GB. If it took half of the RAM, turning the M series iPad into what are now 4GB RAM iPads, I would personally disable it (if possible). I find reloads on 4GB iPad unbearable to the point that I sold my 2018 pro 12.9 even if the battery was still 98% (I kept the 6GB RAM model though).

Oct 18, 2022 · I went for 256 GB on my new iPad Pro because I need enough space for my ripped Blu-rays and DVDs. If the higher storage option weren't so crazy expensive, I would have gotten the 1 TB version instead. That way, I could have saved most of my movies on the internal storage instead of having to carry around an external SSD.

Jun 13, 2017 · I currently have the 128GB iPad Pro, and its more than enough, but Im using more than 64GB of storage. For the price I would suggest 256GB offers a nice storage upgrade, and you won't have to worry about storage probably for the life of the device, whilst its likely you may run out on 64GB.

Feb 8, 2023 · I got iPad Air 4,iPad pro m1 on hand to compare with m2 12.9 iPad Pro. All have 256gb as ssd storage. Using jazz disk lite to test n result is showing that m2 256gb version only 1.5gb/s read n write. The result surprised me because I thought this year only 128gb version ipp ssd is downgraded but now mine 256gb is also affected.
