Founded in 1986, BRMA is a networking forum for treaty property and casualty treaty reinsurance professionals. The membership consists of several of the foremost reinsurance organizations in the United States and Bermuda that continually work to find ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the reinsurance industry

BRMA is an invaluable resource of industry best practices, sourced from practicing professionals in a variety of industries both locally and nationally. I have found the presentations and the information shared to be practical and actionable in a number of my assignment.

In 1986, ten underwriting companies and eight reinsurance intermediaries joined together to form the Brokers & Reinsurance Markets Association (BRMA). Their goal was to promote, independently and together, the best possible internal and external treaty reinsurance service environment in the United States.

In supporting the continued education of our members, BRMA hosts a variety of monthly events organized by members for members. In-person meetings bring members together to network with their peers and hear directly from industry leaders.

In tandem with its objective of developing industry-wide innovations, BRMA members play a significant educational role among its members in the U.S. treaty reinsurance industry. The goal is to help maintain an ongoing forum for the open discussion of reinsurance issues.
