2007年10月4日 · Certainly, I would compare several more to verify - but on this first comparison - it is pretty good. The CCT diagram appears to match pretty well....One thing that you have to pay attention to is the maximum cooling rate - note the differences when I changed the maximum cooling rate from 100K/s to 35 K/s. It shows that it takes approximately 75 seconds for the material to cool and completely miss the bainite nose or knee (nose or knee depends where you went to school). The MS temperature is approximately 500 F, or 275C. THis is way too high to use an oil - it will burn up!

You're going to need the Heat Treater's Guide or somesuch for those references. However, until I looked, I wouldn't have said that 52100 bainite was likely or possible. 2005年7月10日 · It would be easyest if you could find a CCT and TTT for the steel you want to try out. If the bainite curve is only what looks like the little tip of what might be a nose down in the right hand corner of the diagram (the ones I have seen did), I don't think you should bother. Would be pretty cool, though.

I know there is an atlas out there with diagrams for many alloys, but I haven't found a copy in my price range. So far I've been able to find a few specific numbers from the bearing makers, but I've never seen the actual diagram.
