2024年5月19日 · I am very new FreeCAD and 3D modelling and even newer to 3D printing. Just wondering how people go about making supports for overhangs for printing their models. I have a design for a bracket for a USB hub to go under my desk and don't really know how to approach the tabs that will be used to screw it in.

One of my more complex bodies has 45 features on it, but it's a real grind designing when every recompute takes 10-20 seconds. Which Free CAD would you recommend for 3D printing?
2013年4月4日 · True CAD software either use CSG (outdated) or boundary representation (B-Rep). All modern CAD software use B-Rep, and so does FreeCAD. OpenSCAD is popular in the 3D printing community, but it's a tool for programming-minded people - which I'm not. It can only export to .CSG (an open but non-standard file format) and .STL.

2015年5月3日 · I have drawn my dirt-bike tank as a simple 3D object and by looking at it, I see that it could be made from just 2 panels that are bent according to the drawing and then welded together (I really like this software) Panel 1 would be the sides and curved top, and Panel 2 would be the complete bottom with the small front and rear ends.
