Glossotonsillar sulcus This is the bottom part of the tonsils where they blend into the lingual tonsil tissue on the back of the tongue. It is basically the area between the tonsils and the base of tongue.
CHEEK (C04._) consists of a semilunar shaped space over the mylohyoid and hypoglossus muscles, extending from the inner surface of the lower alveolar ridge to the undersurface of the tongue. Its posterior boundary is the base of the anterior pillar of the tonsil.
