2020年10月7日 · Yes but to be fair, they probably make the puzzles with the general population in mind and not hard core sudoku enthusiasts. I have only been playing for the better part of 8 months now and I found it great at the beginning.

2020年11月14日 · So for some time now I noticed that when I visit the impossible sudoku page on LA Times, I get a blank page. Today I decided to give it a try on my Macbook and it loaded just fine. I've tried different browsers, but seems it just won't load for me on my Windows 10 PC - not even on MS Edge, with zero extensions!

2024年6月17日 · This is today's LA Times Expert level Sudoku. S.C. rated Hard, took me 02:28 to solve without notes.This one I felt I had a little sluggish flow because I solved the same puzzle on the LA Times interface in 02:40, despite the latter having poorer navigation than Sudoku Coach.

2020年6月25日 · I agree. Setting up the bookmarklet isn't too hard, and the interface is much better. It doesn't have an option for "auto candidate mode," so if you suck at noticing naked singles like me, you'll be forced to improve. I hope someone makes a bookmarklet for the LA Times puzzles as they are pretty good and the back catalogue stays posted for awhile.

2021年1月3日 · I like to play regular Sudoku with automatic pencil marks. Makes easy puzzles like NYT Easy trivial, just filling in the singles, under 40 seconds. Medium and Hard are anywhere from 3-15 minutes, not often longer than that. Medium is usually a bit harder for me too.

2019年9月18日 · I actually enjoy easy sudoku, sometimes I do them without any candidate notation but I found I wanted to use the same procedure for all. Never need more than double dotting with easy and medium and sometimes hard, referring to the Dell cheap magazines. To me, it is mind training. Focus, clarity, and patience. One step at a time.

2023年12月14日 · I’ve been using New York Times but I want more puzzles per day lol. Most of the other ones I’ve found on the iOS App Store gather way more data on me than I’m comfortable with for an app that just does sudoku like location data.

2021年5月26日 · On my sudoku app (which highlights previously placed notes and numbers - very helpful) I've got average times of 2:42, 8:09, 13:49, and 24:24 for Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert, respectively. Lots of variation in there though …

2023年7月26日 · I thought that the L.A. Times crossword would be similar to the NYT, but am finding that I can’t zip through Monday puzzles the way I’m accustomed. Does anyone know how the L.A. Times puzzles are set up? Are they the same every day instead of progressively harder throughout the week?
