Jan 17, 2022 · There was a company called XCM that did replacement shells for the original xbox back when the xbox was still commercially alive. They are VERY difficult to find now, but if you did find one, they are excellent quality.

Nov 22, 2023 · For one, it’s more work to disassemble and paint the OG Xbox with the metal RF shield there and just the size of the motherboard that needs to be removed. And if you’re spending all that time to paint the shell you might as well just refurbish the console and make an extra $150. The margins are much better that way. I make custom coloured shells.
