The dentist who pulled the tooth suggested that I should not just leave the gap in my mouth, but I'm unsure of what I should do next. I can't get a bridge, because it was the last molar on that side (thus there's no tooth behind it to attach the bridge to).

The same isn't true between the first and second molar, so you should have no knock-on effects so to speak 2. Don't do anything (i.e. leave a gap) would be the most common one.

But now i have a bit of problem is between my 1st and 2nd molar, there is a gap which is about at least 1mm and food trapped it very easily. I flossed daily before bed time.
