2006年7月30日 · Ideally there should be no grass growing under the fruit trees so that the trees don't get competition for water and nutrients. Mulch would be very beneficial. Fruit trees are not heavy feeders and don't need much else beyond 5-10-5. Cheap and easy. Usually the fruit will be small if the roots aren't able to supply all the water and nutrients.

2017年5月28日 · I've made apple butter from unripe apples before. It takes a long time simmering them with molasses and brown sugar before the "green" taste fades. You can also use them to make pectin for jams.

2010年4月12日 · They are a small tart green apple that ripens early August. They never spray or do anything but most basic pruning and cleaning up fallen fruit. The apples are small (2 inches), and will have blemishes (bite marks, worm holes, scabby marks, etc.) on about 50% of the fruits, but since we use them for cooking, it doesn't matter.

2010年8月10日 · I made apple cider vinegar which I bottled in green glass wire bail beer bottles. Added a label. Gave as Christmas gifts. Huge hit with all the wanna be foodies in the family. 2012年11月11日 · With very steeply round apples, the side of the u blade will peel part of the apple, then the center of the arc as the apple straightens out. Off center doesn't seem to matter as much with my unit, I just try to get the blossom end and the stem end parallel on the prongs. DH likes stem end at the prongs, I put the blossom end at the prongs.
