A little bit of history on Pont-Aven ⬇️ Pont-Aven was commissioned on 22 February 2002, when Brittany Ferries signed a letter of intent with the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. The keel was laid on 9 April 2003, and on 13 September, Alexis Gourvennec, Michel Maraval, and Henri-Jean Lebeau activated the filling of the construction dock with 100 million litres of water, allowing the vessel to float for the first time.
