Cherry trees blooming in January?! No this tree isn’t confused, it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to! This particular ornamental cherry tree is Prunus ‘Autumnalis.’ While it does produce a lovely display of blooms in the spring, it also blooms sparsely through the autumn (thus the cultivar name) and winter.
