This Arapaho dress is in perfect shape and it’s juxtaposed between two examples of European dresses in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. What I love about this display is the fact that the physical dress is front and center, with attention and respect paid to the object by how it’s shown in this massive room. The paintings to the left and to the right are masterworks by themselves, but something about this arrangement makes all three pieces that much more powerful. @mfaboston #arapaho #arap
