Avebury Stone Circle
This is Avebury, a Neolithic stone circle in Wiltshire and the house I grew up in with my two brothers, parents (who still live here) and quite a few dogs! I’ve been back for a few days as I have been working and I just had a total childhood flashback to frosty mornings looking out of this gorgeous window across to the stone circle that surrounds our home and felt such a beautiful relaxed feeling that I wanted to share this with you. Entering a 5,650 year old burial chamber…West Kennet Long Barrow at Avebury was built around 3650 BC and it is thought to be used as a burial chamber where the remains of nearly 50 people were buried here.
