Uke 受け The person who receives a technique 👊🏼 We typically use the word “uke” 受け in two main ways in the martial arts: * To mean “block” as in Uchi-uke (inside block); Soto-uke (outside block); Age-uke (rising block) – etc * To denote the person who “receives” a technique.
