This is one of the first published blues songs “Memphis Blues” from the label “His Master’s Voice” AKA early HMV! This song was published in the form of sheet music. Originally titled “Mr. Crump”. Politicians of Southern States would often employ black artists to write songs to go with their political campaigns. W.C. Handy was employed by Edward Crump in 1909 to compose “Mr Crump”. W.C
