Clark Air Base Bicentennial Park was built in 1976. It was built in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of American independence from British rule. The Bicentennial Park is among the last remnants of the American military occupation at the Clark Air Base before the US government turned over the base to the Philippine government in 1991.
