Cronchy Earthball (Scleroderma) ASMR. These are mycorrhizal mushrooms, associated here with Oak. They are “gasteroid” meaning the spores develop internally (similar to a puffball). They are inedible/mildly toxic and can differentiated from edible puffballs by their tough yellow skin and black/purple spore mass (gleba).
